What We Do
The Foundation sponsors educational and fundraising events during the year to raise money for the Library.
Past events include Library Night at Kil-Kare Raceway, the Costume Jewelry Sale, Greene County Spelling Bee, Antiques Appraisal Fair, and book/media sales.
Your support of these events and your donations are used to enhance programs, services and materials for young people and adults, local history and genealogy, and library building improvements.
In the past, funds have been used for projects such as:
- "Books for Babies" for newborns in Greene County
- Enhanced Summer Reading programs for children
- Reading readiness equipment for pre-school library users
- School support programs for youth
- Special exhibits
